Debt Purchase

Intrum Justitia, a leader on the Polish debt collection and receivables management market, also offers its clients the option of selling their receivables to it.

We purchase whole packages of at least several hundred receivables from natural and self-employed persons.

In practice, we employ two kinds of receivables assignment transactions:

  • purchase of a portfolio for a predetermined price,
  • purchase of a portfolio for a share in the future revenue.

In either case, the transaction is preceded by a valuation of the portfolio, based on an electronic document received from you, containing the indispensable data about the debtors (without personal data).
After the valuation is made, the purchase price is agreed upon. With regard to the first option, that price will be a specified proportion of the value of the principal amount of debt, and for the second option, this will be a set ratio (e.g., 50-50, 40-60, etc.) at which all the amounts collected within a specified period shall be divided between the Client and Intrum. The main criteria affecting the price being offered are the size and structure of the portfolio, age of the receivables, their legal status, quality of the available documentation, etc.

When you sign a debt purchase agreement with Intrum, you can be absolutely certain that our procedures conform to the Act on the Protection of Personal Data, the Banking Law and other laws of the land.

You also get the guarantee that in the course of the debt collection process, all the debtors will be treated in compliance with Intrum Justitia Code of Ethics.
