 The Information Security Analyst is a position in the Global Information Security (GIS) team and is a key function for protecting our sensitive data. The security analyst analyses data to ensure compliance with applicable internal, regulatory, legal and other security requirements and provides recommendations based on these requirements, weaknesses, and the ever changing threat landscape. The security analyst is also responsible for managing and further developing the security reporting platform used for continuous control monitoring.

 As a security analyst you are a trusted adviser to architects, IT and security administrators and others on Information security related matters. You are able to translate information security risks into technical requirements and can support (advice) the implementation of necessary technical controls.

Key tasks as Information Security Analyst:

  1. Manage and further develop the security reporting platform;

  2. Participate in developing IT infrastructure and cyber security strategy and associated roadmap;

  3. Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements, researching information security standards, conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments;

  4. Participate in cyber security standards, policies and procedures preparation;

  5. Advise stakeholders as an Information Security subject matter expert about information security risk and risk mitigation;

  6. Co-operate with other function in the organization to ensure an aligned approach and input to operational risk monitoring and reporting related to information security risks;

  7. Participate in the development and oversight of required corrective action plans relating to security compliance issues and security control deficiencies;

  8. Support the identification, validation and remediation of information technology security controls required for financial institutions across diverse geographies;

  9. Validate (Complex) IT infrastructure and other reference architectures for security best practices and recommend changes to enhance security and reduce risks, where applicable.


The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in IT, security or related field;

  • 5+ years combined experience in a security, technology, and/or software engineering related role;

  • Demonstrated experience of data security frameworks and regulatory standards including for instance;    

  • ISO27001/2, COBIT, CSF, PCI-DSS, GDPR;

  • Effective English communication skills (verbal & written);

  • Experience with developing security and compliance reporting for a variety of audiences, including executive management, technical and non-technical;

  • Experienced in processes for assessing and designing internal controls for large scale organizations;

  • Demonstrated broad conceptual understanding of security controls across all common (cyber) security domains such as identity and access management, encryption, vulnerability management, network security, etc.;

  • Direct, hands-on experience in cloud based operating models;

  • Direct, hands-on experience with working with IDM/IAM systems, SSO/federation systems and / or secure API management; Able to create and optimize queries/views in SQL (MariaDB/MySQL);

  • Knowledge of PowerShell, and integration with SQL server and webservices (soap/rest) is required; Experience with business intelligence systems like Power BI or Qlik Sense.
