Warsaw / Stockholm
We are currently recruiting a Senior Economist to take an important role within the Risk Analysis function of Intrum.
At Intrum we create value for our clients, our customers, our stakeholders and for the society at large. We are driven by our Purpose and our four values; Empathy, Ethics, Dedication, Solutions which define who we are and determine how we act. We make sure that companies get paid, we help people get out of debt and enable the society to grow.
Intrum is leading the way to a sound economy, for individuals, companies and for the society at large. We argue that companies and organisations being paid on time is a pre-requisite for their continued growth and development. At the same time, on an individual level, a sound economy is the foundation for a good quality of life and creates opportunities for people to achieve their dreams and goals. Through our services, Intrum creates jobs and enables growth.
What we do:
Group Risk Analysis is responsible for identifying, measuring and reporting to the Group Management Team and the Board of Directors, risks that may materially affect Intrum or its countries or business units. We support the investment and M&A organisations with second opinions, alternative valuations and a general risk outlook on larger investment opportunities. Group Risk Analysis provides insights on macroeconomic events impact on our business and supports all Group Functions with ad hoc analysis on aspects of financial risk that relate to Intrum’s risk framework.
We want to strengthen and broaden our analysis capabilities in terms of understanding the impact of external events on our business and industry as a whole. You will be responsible for building this function and will get the opportunity to form it from scratch. You will be expected to build the models, do the analysis and formulate opinions based on the results.
As Intrum is the largest player in the credit servicing industry in Europe, analysing the impact on our business means creating hypothesis on the industry overall. Your work will help Intrum make better business decisions for example by understanding how and where to diversify our business, what macro risks to cater for and how to interpret political decisions. Your work will also lay the foundation for Intrum to produce material to further position Intrum as a thought leader in the industry. This is an opportunity where you will make a difference and play an important part in making Intrum align its risk and achieving its long-term strategy.
